On a bank holiday I went down to London to see my lovely sister Melissa. I met her at the train station then we headed to Canary Wharf to go to Jamie's Italian. My sister had read a couple bad reviews, but I would say it was one of my favorite restaurant experiences I have had.

The staff were very welcoming and we got a seat table straight away. They were more than helpful with explaining the menu to us and giving us recommendations. Although they didn't have a cocktail list, the waitress told me they would be happy to make anything up for me so I asked for something fruity with vodka and that's what I got, it was delicious.

We started off with the antipasto plank. Then some pasta for mains.

My fruity vodka cocktail.

Our seasonal meat antipasti plank which was £6.65 a head.

It came with, seasonal cured meat, Tuscan fennel salami, pistachio mortadella, San Daniele prosciutto and Schiacciata piccante.
- Italian cheeses, buffalo mozzarella, pecorino with amazing chilli jam.
- Pickles, curly green chillies, green and black olives.
- Salad, Italian coleslaw with lemon and mint.

Both our favorites was probably the buffalo mozzarella. It just melted in your mouth and was so soft and silky. The Tuscan fennel salami was lovely too. I was not too keen on the Italian coleslaw and the pickles and chillies but I've never liked them anyways. The chilli jam and the giant green olives were lovely and tasty too.

I got the sausage pappardelle which was filled with slow cooked Italian sausage, tomatoes, red wine and parmesan with crunchy herby breadcrumbs. This pasta was probably the best pasta I have ever had. I've never had pappardelle pasta before so it was a lovely texture, and the sausage and crunchy breadcrumbs were absolutely devine.

And Mel got Jamie's Italian spaghetti bolognese, described on his menu as "The old school classic ragu of beef, pork, herbs, chianti and parmesan with crunchy herby breadcrumbs." which was also amazingly tasty.

I have a thing for nice restaurant bathrooms and I thought this one was lovely.
